The Pearl of the Italy’s Adriatic Coast: Sirolo

Sirolo is home to not one, but four of the best beaches in Le Marche. The blue flag beaches of Urbani, San Michele and Sassi Neri can easily be reached by bus or by foot from Sirolo. If you’re looking for something more secluded, the famous Spiaggia Due Sorelle (Two Sisters Beach) is the perfect place to escape the summer crowds. To reach the Spiaggia Due Sorelle you’ll need to take a boat from Sirolo or from the port of Numana or Marcelli. Located in the protected natural park of San Bartolo, the Lido of Gabicce Mare is surrounded by nature. Founded in 1994, the mountain of San Bartolo offers hiking in the vicinity of quaint villages, castles, and beautiful villas, such as the magnificent renaissance residence of Villa Imperiale and the castle of Fiorenzuola di Focara. Sitting near the border of Emilia Romagna, Gabbice Mare can be reached in just a few minutes by car when visiting Le Marche’s neighbor. 4 beaches perfect for a day trip from Ascoli Piceno

Famous among the locals for it’s lungomare and Molo Sud (Southern breakwater), every summer Ascolani flock to San Benedetto‘s Riviera delle Palme for a dip in the Adriatic sea. These are the best beaches in Le Marche that are reachable by bus, train or car in under 30 minutes from Ascoli Piceno. San Benedetto offers endless white sandy beaches with plenty of nearby options to take shelter from the midday sun and dig into a plate of spaghetti alle vongole.

A bit further out from Ascoli, but well worth the drive if you have a car, are the beaches of Cupra Marittima: Lido Grottamare, Spiaggia Nord and Spiaggia Sud. More rugged, and less crowded, if you’re adventurous and willing to walk you’ll find more secluded beaches in this area. The pay-off is some of the best beaches in Le Marche that won’t require renting an umbrella to get your own slice of Italy’s eastern coast.
