GET THE REAL ITALY EXPERIENCE SENZA GLUTINE
You’re not traveling to Italy to eat gummy gluten-free pasta and plain chicken and always feel like the odd one out when it’s time for dessert.
You want to experience what it’s really like to live the true Italian experience, and you don’t want your dietary restrictions to hold you back anymore.
After spending countless summers vacationing on a strict gluten-free diet in Italy, planning a wedding in Italy with celiac guests, and finally making the move to the Bel Paese, I could no longer keep my gluten-free Italian slice of “La Dolce Vita” to myself.
"Chantelle and Giovanni introduced us to an abundance of upscale, indulgent, fresh Italian food every single day. Yes, gluten free!"
—michelle grasek
"I've been to Europe a few times before and this was easily my favorite trip. My mom and I both have Celiac and we really wanted to experience Italy but were worried about how we could make that a reality, especially with the language barrier. Chantelle taught us how to easily eat gluten-free in Italy in the 7 amazing days that we were with her. After our time with The Italian on Tour, my mom and I spent 3 days in Rome by ourselves. After learning from Chantelle what to ask for, and what to look for, it was SUPER easy to eat GF in Rome and we had an amazing time. I now feel totally confident going back to Italy with Celiac. Many thanks to Chantelle and Giovanni for a life-changing trip!
"I am gluten free and struggle sometimes to eat out at home. Not on tour. Never once were my dietary restrictions 'a thing'."

"From the moment we met at the airport to saying goodbye at the train station I felt like I had just vacationed in my friend's hometown. Chantelle and Giovanni curate such an amazing experience for their guests. No need is unmet. Besides the amazing food and company, the tour of the region was unprecedented. We toured many beautiful villages that most people "have never heard of", but that is what made them magical. We experienced true Italy. We got to see how people actually lived.
I highly recommend this tour. We experienced a trip of a lifetime."
"Once I realized I’d be eating well and safely, I was able to focus on the endless beauty and history of Ascoli Piceno."

"To preface; I am not one of those Celiacs who runs out to try every new gluten free franken-food out there. I like to enjoy good food, that has been lovingly and expertly prepared. This tour made this possible for me to experience. Not only did Chantelle and Giovanni introduce us to this beautiful slice of Italy, they completely put my mind at ease when it came to eating gluten free safely and enjoyably. My husband (not celiac), did not feel like he was comprising on the food and is always happier when I’m not worried about what I’m eating."
Leave your Italian vacation dining-out anxiety at the door and join us for a gluten-free Italy tour that isn’t just G-Free but is a celiac-safe epicurean journey for your taste buds.
"Best of Italy – without any unwanted side effects. Celiacs, vegetarians and anyone with dietary restrictions will feel comfortable traveling with Giovanni and Chantelle.”

→ Be ready for insider knowledge — you already know the best way to experience a new culture is among locals who become friends (and know Italy like the back of their hand!)
→ Want to take the guesswork out of planning your gluten-free Italy trip. Sit back and relax knowing we’ve taken care of it.
→ Never want to feel rushed. You’re in Italy to soak up the local culture and sticking to a by the minute military schedule is NOT your idea of vacation.
→ Love real Italian food that’s naturally gluten-free, enjoy walking, picturesque countryside, and off-the-beaten-path places where you can immerse yourself in the local culture – you want a ticket to being Italian for a week.
…and never want to stress about all the logistics, having a bad gluten-free meal, or constantly worry about speaking the local lingo to get your celiac safe dining needs across.
→ The flow of Italian lifestyle – dinner at 8pm, shops close for siesta-leisure meals, and a full glass of vino – isn’t your jam.
→ Exploring picturesque villages by foot & taking the stairs is an impossible feat. We visit historic sites with steep inclines and varied terrain. (Activity level varies by itinerary!)
→ You’re a picky eater. Getting to know the local culture means trying a variety of authentic dishes – your meals on tour run the gamut of everything from organic cheeses, seafood, carpaccio, and local meats.
→ Dining out in your home country (in your own language) still has you riddled with anxiety. Coming to Italy won’t fix your dining-out anxiety. If you find it difficult to trust others preparing your gluten-free meals and/or to communicate your needs when eating outside of your own home then our trips are not the right fit for you.

"Giovanni and Chantelle are amazing and I hope they never stop doing what they are doing. Especially the gluten free part! I could never have done the trip without The Italian on Tour otherwise. I know that Steph felt the same. We have made friends from the tour and some are coming to Melbourne soon and we will catch up. We were beautifully looked after and honestly felt very much at home with the whole experience."
